How long ago did this happen?

Is she limping or favoring any of her legs?

Will she let you flex and extend her legs without any discomfort?

Is there any visible swelling?

It sounds as if she may have experienced a soft tissue injury such as a sprain. This can occur when she either twists or overextends the ligaments of a joint when she fell.

Yes, with a sprain, most times they are not painful when you manipulate the joint.

The treatment for these usually is rest. It would be best to keep her from jumping up and down on things and do not let her run around.

Unfortunately, there are no over-the-counter pain meds that you may have access to that are safe for use in dogs.

If it is a sprain, after a few days of rest, you should be noting intermittent improvement. It can take a long time to return to full function, but you should be noting small bits of improvement.

If she is not improving after a few days of rest, I would have her evaluated by your veterinarian.

If she will allow, you can apply a cold pack to the affected area.
