GoldSeries stopped working after hot pizza...

Resolved • Response time 1 minute

21 Jan 2022

GoldSeries stopped working after hot pizza making. I changed the thermal fuse and still didn't work. A technician came out and found the fuse working fine. Suggested I change out Main Control Board, which I did and still not working. Should I pay for a new Control Panel Board and try that?
JA: What's the brand and model of your appliance?
Customer: Whirlpool Model WOS51E or WOS92E or WOS93E
JA: How long has this been going on with your Whirlpool appliance? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No power at all to oven for two weeks. I did what I wrote above already.
JA: Is there anything else the Appliance Expert should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: No, it is the single oven. Thanks.

Do you think it is the control panel board, perhaps?

There are only 4 possibilities that will cause your oven to be completely dead.  Either your main power control board is shorted, the display board has failed, the thermal fuse has failed, or your not getting 220 volts from your house to the oven.  That's it.  There are no other options.  Now there are 2 thermal fuses on this oven.  One is behind the control panel, and one is on the back of the oven.  The one on the back of the oven only stops the oven from heating.  The thermal fuse up by the control panel will cause the unit to go dead.  Below is a link to the thermal fuse up at the top of the oven.

The board you replaced is the power relay board, so we'll assume that is good.

If you replaced the correct thermal fuse and the relay board, then you're down to the oven either not getting 220 volts, or the display board has failed.  The display board will need to be replaced if you're sure it's getting power.  The part number is *****

I'm glad I could help. If you need anything else, just let me know. I hope you enjoy your experience with JustAnswer.com. I look forward to helping you again in the future.
