You
My dog was recently diagnosed with gastroenteritis and is on bland diet. I’m at the stage where I’m mixing her normal food into the bland diet and she’s thrown it up both efforts. I followed up each incident with a small serving of bland diet and she’s kept that down. Is it possible she has developed an allergy to her food and that’s causing the issue since she has no problem with the bland diet?

It’s dry kibble. Kirkland signature turkey and sweet potato. She’s been eating it for over a year.

I might just keep to the bland diet a bit longer and then try again.

It is possible that there is something in the kirkland food that upsets her stomach at this point. Sweet potato can have a lot of fiber.

Go back to just the bland diet for a few days and try again. If it continues you may have to switch food for a dog that has a sensitive stomach.

go to the dogfoodadvisor.com as they have lists of food for certain ailments

If there is GI upset, then a change to a food that soothes the GI tract is best. Hills science diet makes a food for this and this is what I use for my dog. Once the vomiting stops after a couple of weeks, then I start to mix my old food in with the Hills and she does fine for about six months before another GI problem occurs
